Shirlaine is a highly accomplished Manchester UK based photographer - specialising in music, fashion, event and portrait photography (includes cats, dogs and other animals).

Shirlaine moved to Manchester from Newcastle to shoot for HOT Animation on Bob the Builder and Pingu, advancing from camera operator to DOP and eventually running the stills department.  Alongside shooting with crew, Shirlaine developed her own career and has been an independent  freelance photographer for ten years.  With a career spanning twenty three years, her regular clients include Adidas, BBC, Coca-Cola, The FA, Fender, Gola, Hugo, Jack Daniels, Living TV, Max Factor, MOBO Awards, MTV, Paramount Pictures, Pepsi, Renault, Sky and Vevo. 

Shirlaine’s own short film 'Good Girl, Bad Dog' won several awards, including the Royal Television Society's non-fiction award. She is currently working on her first book, 'Love and Bruises' depicting live roller derby bouts and creative portraiture.

Shirlaine is proud to be the official photographer for GCCF, Trafford Centre, O2 Apollo Manchester, HMV, CAN who highlight the plight of refugees living in the UK and Manchester Roller Derby, her favourite sports team. As a junk food vegan Shirlaine is  happy to offer discounted rates to animal welfare organisations.
